About IASIA, UNISA and IIAS

The International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (hereafter: IASIA) is an international NGO with scientific purposes, established in 1961 and headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. IASIA is the specialized entity of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences. Its mission is to contribute to the further development of education and training of public administrators and managers.

The IASIA conference brings together practitioners, academics, PhD students and young researchers in public administration and management, as well as contributors from any other disciplines who exchange on a chosen theme. The theme selected for the conference is a topic of major concern for public administration and management.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences is a learned society in public administration, established in 1930 and headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. It federates governments and universities to produce research, organize events, perform projects and provide quality assurance services. To fulfil these missions, the International Associations of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) and the European Group of Public Administration (EGPA) were established within its purview.

For its Conference, the IIAS publishes an open call-for-proposals on a policy relevant theme. Accepted call-for-papers are published, and contributions collected on this basis. In 2021, the IIAS Conference is joined to the IASIA Conference.
